A MESSAGE TO MY FANS
I just want to say thank you to all the ranger fans who have supported me, and my efforts in the community the last six years in Texas. Surely it's both hard for some to understand that I left for a different team let alone a division rival- it was bittersweet for me as well.
At the end of the day the Rangers didn't make a push to keep me on the team. The Angels and Marlins wanted me on their teams and proved it. Everything written about an asking price etc was media speculation and never had an ounce of truth. The rangers are a great organization with talented front office and players and will be a difficult team to beat and it's very sad to leave such awesome teammates and fans. The last few years in Rangers Stadium were special- going from a losing team to bankrupt to American League champs was a complete transformation and obviously everyone should be proud of it.
The charity will continue even stronger now and we will continue to support North Texas kids as well as SoCal kids. Please keep that spirit of philanthropy alive for your local causes like cooks children's hospital, Scottish rite, Dallas Children's and the Boys and Girls Club.

This has been really tough. Never been a fan this hard in a while. JKidd left, came back. Pudge left and might come back. Troy stayed til' injured and retired. Dirk stayed and won it all. I guess when dealing with bosses you would like some sort of respect in a form of a contract...for you, it's really a win win situation. But for us it's rough.

It is going to be truly hard seeing you wearing a different red color uniform but you had to choose whats best for you. I'm glad to here that your still going to have your charity efforts continue here in DFW. I love what they represent and what you represent has a person. It been a great honor to meet many of your friends and family through your charities and looking forward to more in the future. I know that there has been a ton of hate towards you for your decision but everyone else in your situation would have done the same thing. I will continue to support you to have success as a player maybe just not against the #rangers. It is tough having favorite players because it hurts when they leave the team you root for. I wish you luck and may this next season and other after that be some great battles between the two teams.

And for the people who are bashing you for leaving, should know the rangers were your first ever big time team you have ever had the chance to play for.You had to give up everything back home to come here and play for us. Now this is your time to go back home and play for your hometown team. People should understand that and stop thinking you did this out of spite.
I'm just happy you didn't go to the Yankees..haha just kidding. Anyways I'm babbling, I just wish you the best of luck with the Angels and I will try my best to come see you and them when you guys face the Rangers. I will be supporting both you and the rangers.
